Passionate about people and all things digital, Susan is an insight-driven and strategic travel marketer with 15 years’ experience in the tourism industry.
She leads the high performing team in Tourism Ireland Spain in developing and implementing innovative year-round B2C and B2B marketing plans that keeps the island of Ireland top of mind in the Spanish market, and will drive sustainable growth in the recovery of tourism.
Tourism Ireland are the agency responsible for marketing the island of Ireland overseas as a holiday destination. It was established under the framework of the Belfast Agreement of Good Friday, April 1998 to increase tourism to the island of Ireland as a whole.
Susan graduated from Technological University Dublin in Tourism Management and shifted from car rental at Dublin Airport to destination marketing in New York with Tourism Ireland. She also completed a postgraduate diploma in Public Relations with PRII. With communication, collaboration and influencing as her core skills, Susan has worked in critical roles in Tourism Ireland Spain based out of Madrid for +10 years supporting the team and managing media and PR agencies in driving market growth.
Through her wide experience from the ground up, Susan has gained a wealth of hands-on expertise and knowledge in Destination Campaign Management, Business Development, Inbound Marketing (SEO, Content Marketing, PPC, Email and Social Media), Public Relations, Influencer Marketing, Co-operative Direct Marketing and Event Management.
